n0lkecil Creative Space is an independent creative-economy initiative developed within the wider ecosystem of Yayasan Madika and STIE Mahardhika, a business and management higher education institution in Surabaya.
Within this context, n0lkecil offers a practical space to explore how art, design thinking, entrepreneurship, and cultural practice can intersect — supporting a broader understanding of the creative economy through collaboration, storytelling, community engagement, and immersive cultural experiences.
In this way, n0lkecil contributes to Yayasan Madika's educational vision by positioning creative economy and design thinking as relevant approaches for today's business, innovation, and sustainability landscape.
A small room that grew into a moving cultural platform.
n0lkecil began as a small creative space in Surabaya, located at Jalan Untung Suropati 85 — a bright, modern, and intimate venue open to anyone who wished to collaborate through artistic and creative activities.
The idea grew from its founder's personal interest in contemporary art, with early conversations developing through a group chat named WonderGals, exchanging references around contemporary art, artists, museums, fashion, music, and architecture.
Although a larger multipurpose creative building at STIE Mahardhika was postponed during the pandemic, the spirit of the idea continued in a smaller, more intimate form: n0lkecil.
From its beginning as a physical creative space, n0lkecil has grown into a flexible creative platform that supports creative exchange across different places, communities, and disciplines — becoming a bridge between campus, artists, communities, and cultural partners.
